What is Moissanite?
Moissanite is made of silicon carbide, an extraordinarily brilliant mineral that has been discovered in minimal quantities.
Moissanite is superior to diamonds in terms of brilliance & sparkle, it is the second-hardest gemstone in the world! Our Moissanite stones are exceptionally bright and sparkly, it measures at 2.4 times the fire of diamond and are a 9.25 on the Mohs Scale of Hardness, so they are suitable for everyday wear.
Is Moissanite natural or man-made?
Natural Moissanite is incredibly rare, so Moissanite available today & in our store is laboratory-created.
How does Moissanite differ from Diamonds or Cubic Zirconia?
Moissanite, referred to as a diamond simulant, is engineered to give the illusion of similarity to diamonds, but is compositionally and visually quite different from a real diamond although it has all of their benefits. Moissanite has unrivalled brilliance, fire and lustre. You'll notice it sparkles much more than a diamond does as it has refractive index from 2.65 – 2.69, which is higher than a natural diamond.
Cubic Zirconia has a lower level of fire and brilliance than Moissanite and doesn’t display the same amount of intense flashes of colour that Moissanite can sometimes exhibit. Of the two, Moissanite has a deeper, more captivating sparkle.
Is Moissanite durable?
Moissanite is a tough, durable stone that resists abrasions and scratches, they are durable and rank just below actual diamonds on the hardness scale. Diamonds are ranked 10/10 and Moissanite is ranked 9.25/10

How do I care for my Moissanite jewellery?
